WebbAccording to the script your posted, it looks like on your system this is done by having cron run the 0anacron script every hour. If anacron has been run already today, it exits (since those tasks should be run at most daily, it doesn't make sense to check on them more than once every day). It also exits, if the system is running on battery power.
